Delightful and Colourful India’s Tour of Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park is located in the Nagaon district and Golaghat district of Assam, India. Kaziranga is situated on the bank of Bharmputar River on the northern side and south side of karbi hills. It is oldest park in Assam state and India.   This park covers areas of 430 square kilometers. National highway number 37 crosses in the park areas. kaziranga national park is a most famous national park of India. 

Kaziranga National Park was renowned as Reserve forest in the year 1905 and it was recognized in the 1940 as a wildlife sanctuary. It is also affirmed a significant Birds part by Bird life International for management of birds species. Park is full of exotic flora and fauna, thus it was chosen as one of the famous and popular natural word heritage site of India in the year 1985. Owing the great population of tigers in the Kaziranga national park, this was declared as a tiger reserve in the 2006. This Park has played an important role in the wildlife protection. 

This park is a heaven for wildlife and nature lover. Kaziranga is well known for its main reach of Great one Horned Rhinoceros. Kaziranga is full of different species of wildlife like  Hog Deer, Capped Langurs, Indian Bison, Leopard Cats, Swamp Deer, Jungle Cats, gaur, Sloth Bears, Jackal, Hog Badgers, Otters, Pythons, Wild Boar, Monitor Lizards, Wild Buffalo, Indian Muntjac, sambar, wild boar, Gibbon, Hispid Hare, , Bengal Fox Large,  Indian Civet, Assamese Macaque, Golden Langur, and much more.

Much famous birds are available in the Kaziranga national park because it is paradise of the birds. Here you can spott birds like Blyth'sKingfisher, Bengal Florican, Swamp Francolin, Spot-billed Pelican, Dalmatian Pelican, White- Bellied Heron, Grey Headed fish, eagle and much more.
The best season to visit in the Kaziranga national park is from mid-November to mid-April. During this period you can easily see migratory birds like Siberian crane. Generally Kaziranga National Park closes during the monsoon season because in monsoon Brahmputar river overflow and sometimes situation of the flooding arises.

How to Reach Kaziranga 

By Air
 Nearest airport is Jorhat about 97 KM., while Guwahati Airport is at a distance 220 KM. It is well connected to the metros cities of India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Collocate, Chennai & much more. 

By Train
The nearest railway station is Furkating, which is about 75 KM. from Kaziranga National Park.

By Road
Kaziranga is well connected by national highway 37.
